We used a Canon
Elph film camera
(with auto focus and an automatic advance).
The LEGO structure holds
the camera in place and a geared-down motor depresses the button.
A cricket
rides behind the camera and is programmed to power the motor (and
take a photo). Sometimes we program the cricket to act as a timer,
sometimes we add a sensor (light, temperature or altitude) to the
cricket to take photos based on data.
